The Feminist Sound Lab Music Camp is a cross-border artistic residency between France and Serbia, bringing together emerging artists for collective creation, learning, and performance in a chosen-mix environment.
Six artists from Serbia and France – women and gender minorities – will develop their artistic practice alongside music professionals and fellow musicians through workshops, collaborative creation, mentoring sessions, and live performances across both countries.

Who can apply and what are the selection criteria?
We welcome applications from composers, singer-songwriters, instrumentalists, and producers with original musical work (home-recorded demos accepted), who are motivated by collaboration and professional development.
Applicants must:
- Be women and/or gender minorities
- Comfortable communicating in English
- Show strong motivation for collective creation
- Be open to artistic exchange and collaboration
- Be interested in professional development
- Work in any music genre
- Have no age limit
Artists from underrepresented backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Do I need to be a singer?
No. Singing is not required. You can be a composer, producer, or instrumentalist.
What music styles are accepted?
All music genres are welcome.
I’m not a professional musician, can I still apply?
Yes. You do not need to be a professional musician to apply. We welcome emerging artists and creators with original musical work and a strong motivation to develop their practice, collaborate, and engage in a collective creative process. However, applicants should be in a clear process of professional development or aiming toward professionalization.
Is English proficiency required?
The working language is English. It is absolutely essential to have a good command of both written and spoken English in order to take part in the project and fully benefit from it.
Where does the residency take place ?
The project takes place in:
France (Ardèche & Lyon) from 21 to 29 November 2026 for the core residency week
Serbia (Belgrade) from 09 to 14 December 2026 for the final concert and workshops
Do I need to be available for all dates?
Yes. Selected artists must be fully available for the entire program, including travel days.
What expenses are covered?
The project covers:
– Round-trip travel between Lyon and Belgrade (including flights)
– Local transportation
– Accommodation
– All meals
