The team
Les Canut.es
Founded in 2022 in Lyon, Les Canut·es is a feminist collective supporting women, trans, and non-binary musicians in the field of contemporary music. The collective develops and delivers workshops, creative residencies, training programs, and networking spaces that address gender inequality in the music industry while supporting artists at key stages of their professional development.
With a strong emphasis on peer learning, experimentation, and collective creation, Les Canut·es fosters environments where artists can build skills, confidence, and sustainable careers.
Femix
Founded in 2010, the Femix Collective is a feminist initiative based in Serbia dedicated to empowering women and girls in music and the cultural and creative industries. Through programs such as the Girls Rock Camp (Rok kamp za devojčice) and Femikseta – an annual compilation of women’s music, as well as arts festivals, exhibitions, mentorship programs, and advocacy work, Femix has supported hundreds of participants by creating safe, inclusive spaces for artistic expression, learning, and leadership.
With a strong focus on young musicians and those with limited access to resources, Femix challenges gender norms in the music scene while building networks of solidarity and professional support.
